The astronomer Grant Miller is obsessed with the idea of searching for planets similar to the Earth though located in solar systems far away from ours. He is not just sure that life can be experienced outside our solar system, he even believes that this challenging discovery will be made very soon, already in the course of his life. This is a film about the human ambitions to understand the meaning of life, together with the help of scientists who dedicate their lives to give an answer to the most fundamental question of all times.
